Busy Bee Recruitment have an extremely exciting opportunity for a confident and dedicated individual to join our client’s amazing childcare organisation based in a modern school setting to work as a Lead Play Worker assisting with running the daily breakfast club and after school clubs. This role is based in Ely, Cambridgeshire.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Setting up the club to create a safe play environment ready for when the children arrive
• Organising settling in sessions for new children
• Ensuring Safeguarding regulations are being followed and expectations are being met
• Meeting, greeting communicating with children and their families as well as teachers or other key professionals
• Supervise children effectively ensuring the environment is safe
• Provide support, guidance, and leadership to the team of playworkers
• Reviewing and approving staff rotas
• Encouraging children to be fair and caring by leading by example
• Encouraging children to get involved in fun activities

What we are looking for:

• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check – child & adult
• Professional experience working with children
• A good understand of safeguarding of chldren
• Good communication skills written and verbal
• A passion for working and learning with children
• A confident, kind, and creative personality
