We are working with a growing, multi entity manufacturing business in Cambridgeshire that is scaling through both organic growth and acquisitions. • Owning the full month-end close across multiple entities - tight deadlines, no excuses

• Delivering accurate reporting into group (WD3 close – pace is key)

• Keeping balance sheets clean and controls tight

• Managing VAT/CIS and staying on top of compliance

• Driving improvements across systems and processes (multiple ERPs in play)

• Overseeing banking, cashflow, and credit control exposure

• Leading and developing a small finance team of two

What we are looking for:

• Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)

• Strong SME experience — you have been hands on and not just reviewing

• Comfortable in fast paced environments with tight reporting deadlines

• Ideally manufacturing or engineering exposure (WIP / stock understanding helps)

• Someone who spots problems early and actually fixes them
