Charity NewsAs we welcome 2025, we take a moment to reflect on an extraordinary year of fundraising for Just George, a charity that holds a special place in our hearts. Thanks to the incredible support of our community, 2024 was a record-breaking year filled with delicious treats, joyful moments, and impactful events. Together, we’ve made a real difference—and what a journey it has been!
We kicked off 2024 on a sweet note with our largest bake sale to date, uniting local businesses, organizations, and individuals in baking and selling a variety of delicious treats. From gooey brownies to intricately decorated cupcakes, the event showcased the power of community spirit and generosity.
Thanks to everyone’s enthusiasm and participation, the bake sale raised an incredible £6,000, setting the tone for an ambitious year ahead. It’s amazing what a little flour, sugar, and a lot of heart can achieve!
In July, the sun shone brightly over Soham as families gathered for our annual Family Fun Day—a highlight of the summer! The day was packed with laughter and activities, including dancing, games, face painting, teddy bear stalls, and darts.
With smiles all around, the event raised an impressive £1,728, proving once again that fun and fundraising go hand in hand. Moments like these remind us why we come together as a community—to create joyful memories while supporting a meaningful cause.
We closed the year with an unforgettable Ibiza DJ Night in November. Soham transformed into a vibrant party destination featuring three incredible DJs, a live saxophonist, and an electric atmosphere. Guests danced the night away while showing their unwavering support for Just George.
The event raised an amazing £2,093.81, demonstrating that fundraising can be as entertaining as it is impactful. Thank you to everyone who joined us to make the night such a success!
Altogether, 2024’s fundraising efforts raised an astounding £10,000 for Just George! Every penny will go toward supporting the charity’s vital work, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve accomplished together. This milestone wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated supporters, volunteers, and event organizers.
As we reflect on 2024’s achievements, we’re already gearing up for another exciting year of fundraising in 2025. Whether it’s through baking, dancing, or simply showing up, every contribution helps us make a difference.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made 2024 such a memorable and impactful year. Here’s to creating even greater moments together in 2025!

We’re delighted to announce that on Tuesday 13th May, we’ll be hosting our biggest ever bake sale, with all proceeds going to our legacy charity, Just George.

On Sunday 23rd March 2025, three of our incredible team members — Kayleigh, Laura and Donna — quite literally took the plunge for a cause close to all of our hearts. Braving the skies with nerves of steel and hearts full of purpose, they completed a charity skydive in support of Just George, raising a phenomenal £2,200+ in the process!
