At Busy Bee Recruitment, community has always been at the heart of everything we do. This April, our team will be taking on one of the UK’s most iconic challenges — climbing Snowdon — to raise funds and awareness for two charities that are incredibly close to us: Melanoma UK and Just George.
Both Melanoma UK and Just George carry deeply personal meaning to our team.
Melanoma UK provides vital support, education, and advocacy for those affected by melanoma, helping to raise awareness of skin cancer and supporting individuals through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond. Their work saves lives through prevention, early detection, and ongoing support.
Just George was founded in memory of George, with the mission of raising awareness and funding for rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. The charity supports families, funds research, and works to improve outcomes for children facing this devastating diagnosis.
These are causes that remind us how important it is to come together, support one another, and make a difference wherever we can.
On Friday 10th April 2026, the Busy Bee team will be climbing Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales, standing at 1,085 metres above sea level.
While the climb will be physically demanding, it represents something far bigger than the challenge itself. Every step we take is a step towards raising awareness, supporting families, and contributing to the incredible work these charities do every day.
This challenge is about pushing ourselves outside our comfort zones, working together as a team, and using our platform to give back.
We’re inviting our clients, candidates, friends, and wider community to support us on this journey.
For every £5 donated, supporters will receive an entry into our charity prize draw, with a range of fantastic prizes generously donated by local businesses and supporters who took part in our great swap up.
More importantly, every donation — no matter the size — will directly contribute to the life-changing work of Melanoma UK and Just George.
Your support will help fund research, provide support to families, and raise awareness that could ultimately save lives.
This challenge represents what Busy Bee Recruitment stands for — teamwork, community, and making a positive impact beyond the workplace.
We are incredibly proud of our team for taking on this challenge and equally grateful for the support we’ve already received.
We’ll be sharing updates along the way as we prepare for the climb and, of course, when we reach the summit.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us so far, whether through donations, prize contributions, or simply words of encouragement.
If you would like to support our Snowdon charity climb, we would be hugely grateful. Together, we can make every step count.
