This hands-on role involves daily care of laying birds, monitoring production, and maintaining top standards of animal welfare, hygiene, and biosecurity. • Oversee daily egg collection, ensuring accuracy and care.
• Support efforts to meet target settable egg counts and fertility rates.
• Grade and stack eggs according to hatchery specifications.
• Identify and report any maintenance needs for buildings or equipment to ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Maintain regular communication with the line manager and team to share updates, address issues, and ensure smooth workflow.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Company Handbook.
• Assist in monitoring and supporting the overall health and welfare of the birds on site.
• Perform additional poultry farming tasks as reasonably required by the company.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining hygiene and biosecurity standards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable with good communication skills and willingness to follow company policies.
