Job Duties:

·        TIG weld stainless steel, mild steel, zintec and aluminium components to a high standard, using a foot pedal where required.

·        Weld box section frames and fabricated assemblies while maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards.

·        Carryout finishing and dressing of own work using a variety of hand tools, including grinders and orbital sanders.

·        Ensure all manufactured parts meet engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements.

·        Complete fabrication tasks within agreed timescales while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

·        Support general sheet metal fabrication and finishing activities within the workshop.

·        Assist with the development of new products, including the fabrication of jigs and fixtures where required.

·        Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.

What we are looking for:

·        Proven experience as a TIG Welder/Finisher within a manufacturing or fabricationenvironment.

·        Experience welding thin gauge materials (typically 1mm–3mm) including stainless steel,mild steel, zintec and aluminium.

·        MIG welding experience with the ability and willingness to develop TIG weldingskills will also be considered.

·        Strong experience in fabrication, including welding frames and assemblies to tight tolerances.

·        Confident using hand tools for finishing work, including grinders and orbital sanders.

·        Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.

·        Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

·        Able to work independently and as part of a team.

·        Good communication skills with a reliable and positive approach to work.

·        Comfortable completing paperwork and following quality procedures.
