Internal Sales Generator

We are looking for candidates with excellent relationship building skills as you will be the person responsible in the team for generating leads alongside dealing with incoming sales calls and researching prospects from a database of warm leads. To be suitable for this role you must not be scared of picking up the phone and discussing products with potential clients and therefore be a results driven sales executive who enjoys the thrill of the chase in generating new business. 

Sales Duties: 

  • Making outgoing cold calls to introduce the company and products
  • Making outgoing calls to existing lapsed customers to rekindle purchasing relationships
  • Taking and responding to incoming sales calls, emails, Force24 and web chat enquiries
  • Researching new leads from our existing contact database as the basis of new telemarketing campaigns
  • Answering customers’ questions about our products and specifications
  • Making upsell/cross-sell recommendations

Administrative Duties: 

  • Generating, sending and following-up electronic estimates for customers
  • Processing sales, issuing pro forma invoices, processing credit card payments
  • Entering customer information and recording activities in company CRM database
  • Entering orders into our order processing system accurately and in a timely manner
  • Directing customer enquiries to the internal sales representatives as required
  • Assisting with colleagues in arranging demonstrations and scheduling sales calls

Other Duties: 

  • Contacting customers post-sale to ensure goods have been received in good condition and that the customers are happy with them
  • Assisting with researching and writing customer success stories for social media and the website
  • Contacting lost prospects to maintain rapport and determine if we can help further
  • Dealing with customer issues and working with production and goods out teams to resolve them
  • Working with the Head of Sales and Marketing to identify and implement new telesales campaigns          

Skills and Experience Required: 

  • Sound knowledge of sales principles and the ability to put them into practice effectively
  • Post-sales relationship management
  • Good understanding of how to build and maintain rapport with potential and existing customers
  • Enjoys talking with and building rapport with people
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills
  • Tenacious attitude and able to handle rejection
  • Must be able to use CRM system for effectively managing daily activities and sales enquiries
  • Ability to use Sage200 would be a distinct advantage for processing of sales orders
  • Positive 'can do attitude' in line with company values
