We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established market leading manufacturing business for a Quality Control Officer to join their Quality team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with quality control experience within manufacturing who enjoys being hands-on, solving problems and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with Production and the Quality Assurance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring every product leaving the business meets the highest quality standards.

Job Duties:

·         Carry out pre-production and post-production quality inspections.

·         Identify quality issues, investigate root causes and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.

·         Inspect incoming raw materials and goods, reporting supplier defects where necessary.

·         Complete cube testing, slump testing and equipment calibration.

·         Monitor Right First Time, scrap rates and production trends.

·         Maintain accurate quality records, compliance documentation and non-conformance reports.

·         Support internal and external audits.

·         Assist with new product introductions and continuous improvement projects.

·         Provide coaching and guidance to production team to reduce recurring quality issues.

·         Produce KPI data and quality reports for management.

·         Promote a strong health and safety culture throughout the business

What we are looking for:

·         Previous Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.

·         Experience inspecting products against specifications and quality standards.

·         Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and production documentation.

·         Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

·         Strong communication and organisational abilities.

·         Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

·         A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
