This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and technically experienced Quality Manager to take ownership of quality assurance across a complex manufacturing operation. You will be responsible for managing the Quality Management System, leading a dedicated quality team and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing, assembly, supplier management and product inspection.

Job Duties:

‍

• Lead, manage and develop the Quality Assurance team of 2, maintaining high standards throughout manufacturing and assembly.

• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

• Oversee First Article Inspection, incoming goods inspections, production quality checks and final product testing.

• Conduct internal and external quality audits, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.

• Manage supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, evaluations and improvement programmes.

• Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and warranty claims, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, DMAIC and other recognised methodologies.

• Monitor and analyse quality performance data, identifying opportunities to improve processes and product reliability.

• Work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement strategies.

• Manage departmental budgets and support investment proposals for quality equipment and tooling.

Skills and Experience Required:

‍

• Previous experience as a Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager or within a similar senior quality position.

• Strong background in engineering or manufacturing.

• Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and auditing procedures.

• Proven experience managing quality teams and implementing process improvements.

• Strong understanding of First Article Inspection, supplier quality management and corrective action processes.

• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing improvements across multiple departments.

• A proactive, organised and hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail.
