We’re looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join a busy finance team based in King’s Lynn. This is a high-volume purchase ledger position, ideal for someone who enjoys working at pace and is comfortable processing a large number of invoices accurately and efficiently.

• Processing a high volume of purchase invoices on a daily basis
• Accurately coding and allocating invoices to the relevant accounts
• Matching invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Checking invoices for accuracy and resolving discrepancies
• Reconciling supplier statements and investigating outstanding items
• Responding to supplier queries and dealing with invoice-related issues
• Assisting with regular payment runs
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date purchase ledger records
• Supporting the finance team with month-end processes
• Providing general finance administration and support where required
• Previous experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable or a similar finance role
• Experience processing a high volume of invoices
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• The ability to work efficiently to deadlines
• Good organisational and communication skills
• Confidence using Excel and finance/accounting systems
• A proactive approach and the ability to work well as part of a busy finance team
