We are seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to support the Production Supervisor in leading a busy manufacturing department. This is a hands-on role where you will combine leadership responsibilities with day-to-day production activities, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for motivating and developing the team, maintaining production targets and driving continuous improvement across the department.

Job Duties:

• Support the Production Supervisor with the day-to-day management of the department.

• Lead, motivate and develop the production team to achieve quality and productivity targets.

• Manage departmental resources, staffing levels and absence requirements.

• Assist with recruitment, induction, training and development of team members.

• Monitor stock levels and order materials and consumables as required.

• Support the preparation, filling and de-moulding of products, following correct procedures and safe working practices.

• Lead the team in concrete mixing and production activities.

• Carry out first-stage quality checks and report any defects or concerns to the Quality team.

• Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the department.

• Deliver toolbox talks and ensure the team understands current health and safety procedures and legislative updates.

• Provide KPI information and production data as required.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality and efficiency.

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

• Experience leading or supervising a team within a production setting.

• Experience working to production schedules and quality standards.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

• Concrete manufacturing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.

• The ability to coach, support and develop colleagues.

• Good attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively
