Our client is a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, specialising in the design and build of bespoke machinery. Due to increased workload, they are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Production Operative / Assembler to join their team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being a bit of a busy bee on the shop floor, working with mechanical components and seeing a build through from start to finish.

Duties will include:

‍

• Assembling full machines from base frame through to completion

• Installing mechanical sub-assemblies including motors, shafts, guards, roof panels, and side panels

• Working from assembly drawings, instructions, and parts lists

• Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively

• Checking alignment, fit, and function throughout the build process

• Identifying and resolving minor assembly issues

• Ensuring all work meets quality and build standards

• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Key skills and attributes required:

‍

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, machine building, or similar

• Confident using a range of hand tools and power tools

• Good understanding of mechanical components and assembly processes

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve minor issues independently

• Strong attention to detail and quality

• Reliable, proactive, and happy to stay busy

• Able to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
