We’re working with our client, a well-established sheet metal fabrication company, to find a reliable and experienced Stores operative for this is a hands-on position where you’ll play an essential role in supporting the smooth running of production processes.

Your day-to-day duties will include operating FLT to load/unload deliveries, along with storage of products and overseeing the Stores/Yard areas for a smooth workflow. Duties may vary in this new role but it is essential you show a keen eye for detail, ensure accuracy in labelling goods ready for delivery and reporting any problems to higher management

Duties will include:

• Operate Forklift safely around both yard and Production areas

• Playing a key part in ensuring goods are correctly labelled ready for delivery

• Arranging goods in to correct storage locations

• Load and unload materials safely, moving components between workstations.

• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe production area in line with company standards.

• Offering continuous improvement ideas

• Reporting any damaged goods

Key skills and attributes required:

• Previous experience in a store’s environment essential

• A proactive and reliable team player with a strong work ethic.

• Counterbalance license essential.

• Ability to follow instructions

• Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.

• Understanding of health and safety procedures.

• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn new skills.
