The Role

‍

As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of the manufacturing operation, ensuring production targets, quality standards and operational objectives are consistently achieved. Working closely with senior management, you will drive continuous improvement, develop your team and help increase production capacity as the business continues to grow.

Job Duties:

‍

• Lead and manage the production team, providing guidance, support and motivation to maximise performance and productivity.
• Oversee all areas of manufacturing, including welding, paint spraying, assembly, electrical assembly and engineering operations, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste and support business growth.
• Identify production challenges and implement practical solutions to minimise downtime and improve operational performance.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain teams to improve manufacturing processes and workflow.
• Monitor production schedules, material usage and operational costs to ensure targets are met within budget.
• Utilise the company's ERP system to monitor production performance, analyse data and produce management reports.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed, maintaining a safe working environment across the production facility.
• Support the development and implementation of production strategies to increase capacity and output in line with company objectives.
• Coach, mentor and develop production staff, promoting a positive, engaged and high-performing team culture.

What are looking for:

• Previous experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
• A strong engineering or manufacturing background with a good understanding of production processes.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop production teams.
• Experience using ERP systems to manage production and monitor performance.
• A proactive and solution-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and increasing operational efficiency.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage changing priorities.
• Good understanding of health and safety legislation within a manufacturing setting.
