Are you a practical and hands-on individual with experience in electrical wiring and assembly? We are recruiting for a Panel Wirer to join an established engineering business. This is a hands-on role involving the electrical assembly and wiring of industrial machinery, including control panels, machine looms, cable preparation and installation. The successful candidate will be confident working from electrical drawings and schematics, using a range of hand tools.

Job Duties:

‍

• Assembling and wiring electrical panels and associated components

• Carrying out electrical assembly and wiring tasks as part of machinery and equipment builds

• Producing cable assemblies and completing general electrical preparation work

• Checking completed wiring and assemblies to ensure they meet the required standards

• Identifying and rectifying basic wiring or assembly issues where required

• Interpreting electrical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams to complete work accurately

• Installing, connecting and routing cables and electrical components

• Preparing and terminating cables using appropriate electrical tools and equipment

What we are looking for:

‍

• Previous experience within electrical wiring, assembly, panel building or a similar role

• The ability to understand and follow electrical drawings and technical documentation

• Good practical skills and confidence using hand and electrical tools

• Previous experience working with industrial equipment or machinery would be advantageous

• Experience with electrical testing, fault finding or commissioning would be beneficial

• Knowledge of control wiring, motors, sensors or other electrical components would be an advantage
