We are Busy Bee Recruitment, an award-winning recruitment agency supplying both temporary and permanent staffing solutions throughout the UK to our client base spanning multiple sectors including Sales, Marketing, Industrial, Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Accountancy, Administration & Executive Search.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and repairs to ensure maximum plant efficiency, reliability and minimal downtime.
• Ensure all engineering activities are completed in line with Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.
• Provide breakdown support and first-line fault finding across all plant, machinery and site services.
• Complete maintenance records, including work sheets, planned maintenance documentation and handover reports, while updating machine history data.
• Identify, report and resolve issues across plant and equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Work closely with the wider factory team, providing engineering support across the site as required.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure all engineering areas are kept safe and organised.
• Suggest and implement improvements to enhance plant performance, reliability and reduce costs.
• Utilise engineering resources effectively to complete work safely, efficiently and economically.
• Previous experience working within a maintenance engineering role.
• Strong mechanical engineering skills with welding experience desirable.
• Electrical knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
• Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose faults and complete repairs on plant and machinery.
• Experience providing breakdown support in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.
• Ability to complete maintenance records and update engineering systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to improving plant reliability.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Relevant mechanical/electrical qualifications or engineering experience preferred.
