We are looking for a proactive, hands-on individual to join a leading agricultural operation. The successful candidate will oversee the daily running of a mobile vegetable washing and grading facility, supervise teams, liaise with growers and ensure customer delivery deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality, food safety and health and safety.

Job Duties:

‍

• Ensure the mobile washing and grading system is set up correctly and ready for operation

• Supervise grading teams, including agency workers

• Maintain strong relationships with growers and manage operations on their sites

• Monitor crop quality throughout the production process and maintain high standards

• Supervise the movement of crop and machinery on and off site

• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirements

• Report incidents and non-conformances in a timely manner

• Assist with mechanical or logistical issues to keep operations running smoothly

• Support customer delivery deadlines and service expectations

What we are looking for:

‍

• Experience supervising or managing teams

• Strong communication and customer-facing skills

• Ability to think on your feet and react to changing demands

• Good attention to detail and organisational skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge or a willingness to learn

• Experience within agriculture, food production or FMCG environments is advantageous

• Full clean driving licence essential

• Counterbalance forklift qualification advantageous

• Agricultural or health & safety qualifications beneficial

• Willingness to travel and stay away from home occasionally
