In this hands-on role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring materials and resources are always available to support production, helping to avoid any downtime. You’ll work closely with the planning team to coordinate goods inwards from suppliers, while supporting the wider team to meet production schedules and deadlines.

• Pull, stage, and deliver materials, products, and packaging to support manufacturing operations.
• Receive and check inbound materials from the main warehouse and external suppliers.
• Use systems (laptop/tablet) to log goods, transfers, and cycle counts.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas, completing all necessary paperwork on time.
• Follow GMP, food safety, quality standards, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
• Monitor and maintain on-site inventory of materials.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives and identify areas for process improvement.
• Carry out regular inventory cycle counts and assist with warehouse organisation.
• Occasionally assist with van driving or support in the main warehouse as required.
• Work closely with internal departments including planning, sales, and warehouse teams.
• Previous experience as a Materials Handler, Stores Operative, or in a similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment is desirable.
• Valid and in-date Counterbalance (forklift) license – essential.
• Full UK driving license and over 25 years old (for insurance purposes).
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining excellent attendance.
