We are seeking a proactive Lab Analyst for a client who we are representing based in Cambridgeshire. This role would be perfect for someone who has minimal or entry level experience in the lab industry and would like to progress their career with a global company.

Job Duties:

• Prepare samples according to work schedules, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standard operating procedures.

• Record results in LIMS to support accurate, timely data generation in line with client requirements and UKAS standards.

• Interpret chromatographic data to support analysis and reporting.

• Maintain QC records and sample data in an organised and accurate manner.

• Support the maintenance and upkeep of departmental analytical instruments, ensuring all equipment remains clean, serviceable, and routinely maintained.

• Manage, store, and label reagent and standard stocks to ensure availability and compliance with safety and quality standards.

• Troubleshoot basic laboratory testing issues and escalate complex problems to the Divisional Manager, providing solutions to meet turnaround deadlines.

• Notify the Divisional Manager of any resource constraints affecting departmental operations and propose solutions to address gaps.

What we are looking for:

• A relevant qualification – HNC, HND, BTEC Level

• Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks efficiently

• Self-motivated with a proactive and flexible approach

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• A team player who can also work independently
