My client is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team, covering the East/West Sussex area. You’ll be responsible for servicing and repairing electro-mechanical equipment, using your ability to read diagrams and your methodical, hands-on approach to deliver high-quality results. Home-based, you’ll work independently while building strong relationships with local customers, providing expert technical support, advice, and guidance to keep equipment performing at its best.

Job Duties:

• Manage service requests efficiently to minimise equipment downtime and deliver a prompt, professional service

• Maintain, service, and repair electro-mechanical equipment to a high standard, in line with company guidelines

• Communicate with customers before and after each visit to ensure issues are resolved

• Complete service paperwork using provided technology and obtain customer sign-off

• Build strong relationships with customers to deliver excellent service

• Manage van stock, ensuring parts are stored correctly and returned when required

• Report and escalate any quality issues to the relevant teams

• Work closely with support, operations, and sales teams to maintain clear communication

• Follow all health and safety policies at all times

• Identify and pass on sales opportunities while delivering great customer service

Skills Required:

• Experience in the repair and servicing of electro-mechanical equipment.

• Ability to read diagrams and schematics

• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative

• Organised and methodical

• Solution focused with a good attention to detail

• A good standard of PC literacy

• Full UK driving license

• Experience of networked products

• Must be located in either an RH or BN postcode
