As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be the hero who ensures equipment runs smoothly and downtime is kept to a minimum. You’ll manage service requests like a pro, carry out top-notch repairs, and make sure every customer visit ends with a smile. You’ll also process service orders on your laptop and keep your van stocked and ready for action!

You’ll build great relationships with customers and spot opportunities for new business, passing any leads to the sales team. Plus, you’ll work closely with the engineering and quality teams to keep standards high.

  • Manage all service requests efficiently and effectively to ensure that customers receive a prompt and professional service and equipment downtime is minimised.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained and repaired to the highest standard.
  • Liaise with staff at the beginning and end of each visit to ensure that their expectations are met.
  • Process and fully complete service orders using laptop.
  • Develop excellent customer relationships with managers.
  • Manage van stock.
  • Escalate any quality issues to the engineering and quality teams.
  • Maximise sales opportunities by providing excellent customer service- pass on any leads for new business to the sales team

What we are looking for:

  • Experience of repair or servicing electro-mechanical equipment, reading diagrams and schematics.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work well on your own initiative
  • Demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to your work, keeping calm under pressure.
  • Be solution focused with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Have a good standard of PC literacy and confidence with computer updates.
  • Experience of Networks/Networked products.
