Job Duties:

‍

• Lead, support and develop the engineering team, including mentoring Project Engineers.

• Plan workloads and allocate engineering resources across multiple projects.

• Take ownership of selected projects and provide technical guidance on more complex work.

• Review designs, drawings and technical documents to make sure they meet customer requirements and can be manufactured.

• Work closely with project, production and site teams to keep work moving smoothly from design through to delivery.

• Improve engineering processes, standards and handovers as the department grows.

• Support technical discussions with customers and suppliers.

• Help solve engineering challenges, manage design changes and reduce errors and rework.

What we are looking for:

‍

• Strong mechanical engineering and design experience, with an engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience.

• Experience leading, mentoring or managing engineers.

• A hands-on approach and the confidence to make technical decisions.

• Experience managing multiple engineering projects or workstreams.

• Ability to produce and review engineering drawings and technical documents.

• Experience using SolidWorks and a PDM system.

• A good understanding of design reviews, change control and engineering standards.

• Experience working closely with manufacturing, fabrication or installation teams.

• Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Commercial awareness, with an understanding of how engineering decisions affect cost and delivery
