We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dry Goods Warehouse Operative / Stores Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate receiving, storage, and dispatch of stock, ensuring inventory is managed efficiently and safely. You will maintain high standards of organisation and cleanliness in the warehouse, carry out equipment checks, and follow all health and safety procedures. Job Duties:

• Maintain product stock at agreed minimum levels to prevent shortages and ensure continuous availability.

• Implement proper stock rotation to minimize waste and maintain product quality.

• Segregate and clearly label all goods in storage for easy identification.

• Keep store areas clean and always organized, ensuring walkways and fire exits remain unobstructed.

• Receive incoming goods and unload delivery vehicles, either manually or using a forklift.

• Ensure all delivered goods are stored appropriately before the end of each working day.

• Verify all deliveries against delivery notes, sign them off, and return documents promptly to the purchasing office.

• Manage the controlled issuance of personal protective equipment (PPE), ensuring replacements are only provided for damaged or worn items. Complete PPE issue forms for all personal allocations except daily-use items.

• Store all items securely and in compliance with safety requirements.

• Take responsibility for the safety of any personnel required to work within the stores area.

• Coordinate with Managers and Supervisors to meet departmental needs, ensuring timely daily distribution of stock.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by management to support the efficient operation of the factory.

• Strong communication skills

• Capable of manual handling

• Proficient in computer use

• Licensed and experienced forklift operator

• Confident and assertive when dealing with staff and suppliers

• Excellent attention to detail

• Flexible and adaptable
