This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic engineering business where your ideas won’t sit in a suggestion box – they’ll be put into action!

As a Continuous Improvement engineer, you will play a key role in improving how things are built, tested and delivered whilst being hands-on with machine builds, inspections, kit upgrades and process improvements, working across production, quality and logistics- no 2 days will be the same!

This role offers a pathway into a future production/operations manager role, so this is an ideal role for an ambitious individual.

Job Duties:

• Lead and support continuous improvement projects across production, maintenance and logistics functions.

• Support production with machine builds including machine testing and spares and service on kits and upgrades where supplied.

• Inspection of manufactured items and assemblies to ensure they are complete and to specification.

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventative actions

• Monitor and report on key performance metrics (OEE, downtime, scrap reduction, efficiency)

• Work with the engineering and quality teams to optimise processes and eliminate waste.

• Deliver training and coaching to teams to drive engagement in CI activities.

• Support capital investment and automation projects.

What we are looking for:

• A degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline

• Proven experience in a continuous improvement, process or production engineering role.

• Knowledge of lean, six sigma or similar CI methodologies.

• Confident communicator able to influence and engage at all levels.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Mechanical knowledge for both hands-on activity and understanding manufacturing drawings.

• Excellent communication skills
