We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a highly skilled engineering team. This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll program, set and operate both CNC milling and turning machines, taking components from initial programming through to final production. You'll have the opportunity to work on precision-engineered components, contribute to continuous improvement intiatives and support the development of less experienced team members.

Duties Include:

 

•Programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines (Mazak,Matsuura)

•Creating, editing and optimising CNC programs for efficiency and quality

•Taking ownership of first-off and complex components through to full production

•Selecting tooling, fixtures, feeds and speeds to suit materials and tolerances

•Interpreting engineering drawings and working to tight tolerances

•Troubleshooting machining and programming issues, implementing solutionsquickly

•Supporting and mentoring junior machinists and operators

•Contributing to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives

•Maintaining machines, tooling and a safe, organised working environment

 

Skills/Experience Required:

 

•Proven experience as a CNC Machinist

•Drive and ambition to progress your career further.

•Ability to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings

•Confident problem-solver who can work independently

•Positive attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills.
