As a Buyer, you'll play an essential role in our client’s procurement team by managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory levels, and coordinating with suppliers.

Job Duties:

• Manage the Purchase Order System (MRP), maintain blanket orders, procure necessary items, and communicate purchase orders to suppliers promptly.
• Follow up on late deliveries, review inventory reports to prevent shortages, and authorise invoices for stock and packaging items.
• Optimise stock levels to balance cost and production demands, verify supplier lead times, and collaborate to correct stock discrepancies.
• Enhance supplier performance in partnership with the quality department and assist in selecting new suppliers as needed.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in a Buying / Purchasing position
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a professional telephone manner is essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer literacy.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve daily objectives.
