We are working with a specialist engineering business delivering complex mechanical installation projects across technically advanced environments including data centres, laboratories, advanced manufacturing facilities and other high specification commercial projects.
This is a project led Business Development Manager role focused on developing opportunities with EPCs, Main Contractors and M&E contractors involved in technically demanding construction and infrastructure projects across the UK. The role is approximately 50% field based and will involve regular travel nationwide.
The successful candidate will play a key role in securing and growing high value installation projects, building long term customer relationships and identifying opportunities within specialist M&E environments.

• Develop and win new installation led project opportunities across the UK
• Build strong relationships with EPCs, Main Contractors and M&E contractors operating within technical construction environments
• Engage early in the project lifecycle to influence specifications and secure project involvement
• Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting through to project award
• Work closely with internal technical and commercial teams to develop tailored project solutions
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM management
• Identify opportunities for account growth and repeat business within existing clients
• Attend industry events and networking opportunities to strengthen market presence
• Proven experience within technical business development or project sales
• Strong experience selling into M&E contractors, EPCs or Main Contractors
• Background within mechanical, HVAC, building services or specialist engineering sectors
• Experience winning project-based or installation-led work rather than purely product sales
• Exposure to technically complex projects such as data centres, laboratories, cleanrooms, advanced manufacturing or regulated industrial environments
• Existing industry relationships and connections within technical M&E markets would be highly advantageous
• Comfortable managing longer-term, multi-stakeholder sales cycles involving consultants, engineers and contractors
• Commercially driven with strong relationship-building and negotiation skills
