We’re looking for an experienced Bench Joiner / Machinist to join a valued client in Soham, Cambridgeshire!

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll be working with timber and wood-based materials, measuring, cutting and assembling components, interpreting technical drawings, and using a range of hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery to produce work to a high standard. If you have a keen eye for detail, enjoy practical, hands-on work, and love seeing a project come together, this could be the perfect next step for you!

What you’ll need:

‍

• Ideally 2 years’ experience in bench joinery, carpentry or a similar woodworking role.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools and woodworking machinery.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Confident measuring, marking, cutting and assembling timber and wood-based materials.

• Good knowledge of joinery techniques and finishing work.

• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.

• Understanding of health and safety procedures within a workshop environment.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Good organisational skills and the ability to meet production deadlines.

• A reliable, hands-on approach with pride in the quality of your work.
