What you'll do:

You'll be supporting the Farm Manager with the daily running of the farm, ensuring the ducks receive the highest standards of care, including feeding, watering, bedding, ventilation and general welfare checks. You'll help monitor bird health and performance, identify any concerns with livestock or equipment and ensure accurate farm records are maintained. You'll also support the wider team, helping to maintain a safe, efficient and positive working environment while ensuring hygiene, biosecurity and health and safety standards are followed. Duties will include monitoring farm supplies, assisting with general farm maintenance and carrying out evening or weekend checks when required. With ongoing training and development available, you'll have the opportunity to build your knowledge, take on additional responsibilities and progress within the business!

What you'll need:

‍

• A genuine interest in poultry farming and a commitment to maintaining high standards of animal welfare.

• Good communication and leadership skills, with the ability to support and motivate a team.

• A positive, reliable attitude and willingness to take a hands-on approach to farm duties.

• An understanding of livestock care, hygiene and health and safety, although full training will be provided.

• Good organisational skills and attention to detail when maintaining farm records and monitoring stock levels.

• A willingness to complete an NVQ Level 3 in Poultry Production and develop your knowledge and skills.

• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekend checks as required.

• Your own transport due to the remote farm location.
